bonjour
 je voulais savoir si je pouvais changer mon bureau, je suis sous Kde et je souhaiterai essayer Gnome.
 j'ai lus dans un des sujet du forum que Kde était tres lourd et fesai ramer les pc. je trouve aussi que c'est umpeut long.

 on peut utiliser gnome et kde sur une distribution ! Ne pas confondre inferface par défaut...

désolé pour l'oubli j'utilise Mandriva 2008
 et quand je dit que c'est lourd c'est que je trouve que les application sont longue a arrivé (tout le temps ou le petit symbole rebondit sur le bureau)
 mais comme dit Zplay c'est peut etre normal.
 je ovulai juste savoir si je pouvais passer sous Gnome pour pouvoir comparer et avoir celui qui me correspond le plus.

Tu sais gnome est aussi lourd que kde.

 Tu as quoi comme ram?  cpu? utilises tu compiz?

 Tape dans une console $ top   (et regarde si un programme ne bloque pas ton ordinateur à 100%)

 Sinon tu installes gnome avec rpmdrake et après sous kdm tu as le choix entre kde ou gnome.

j'ai 1024 de ram
 cpu je ne sais pas ( j'ai un acer 5610 avec un processeur centrino duo )
 et compiz je ne sais pas non plus. c'est quoi compiz ?
 et pour la console j'ai ça

non il n'y a rien de spécial à signaler.

 Utilise tu l'opengl? Pour le savoir renvoie le résultat de
 # glxinfo | grep direct


 compiz est un bureau en 3d.

ton pc me semble largement assez rapide :/  

 n'a tu pas installé plein de logiciels demandant de la ram? les pilotes graphiques sont-ils bien installés?

tu n'es pas obligé de faire un screen à chaque réponse.
 Un simple copié coller avec la souris fera encore mieux.

 Il faut l'installer alors
 $ urpmq glxinfo  (q pour query) doit te doit le nom d'un paquet
 et tu installes le paquet.

1° pour beno@ :
 je ne sais pas j'ai instaler qcad (avec beaucoup de mal) et amsn et sinon rien d'autre .
 mis a par les mise à jour.

 2°limax quand je tape ta commande sa ne marche pas  :??:

 3°Zplay je vais esseyer .
 mais je ne parler pas de open office . mais gimp, amsn, firefox

 voila je pense que j'ai tout dit.

mandriva aurait alors enlever urpmq ???

 essaye en root.  Peut être cela fonctionne il mais tu ne l'a pas dans tes depots.

par exemple ici http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/?language=fr

 mais on ne va pas tout changer pour juste pour glxinfo.  

 Est que tu as lu la doc de mandriva?  La première chose consiste à lire la doc officiel.

 Quel carte graphique as tu?  par exemple pour nvidia http://club.mandriva.com/xwiki [...] force#inst

 Je suis certain que tu n'as pas l'opengl et que tu n'utilises pas les drivers graphiques les plus performant.
 Pour le savoir  renvoie le résultat de $ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf | grep Driver

Driver "nv"


Ce sont des drivers libre qui normalement fonctionne bien mais visiblement tu as peut être qcq problèmes.
 Tu es certain d'avoir tout mis le fichier xorg.conf?
 Il n'y a pas de dri?  xorg a changé et puis je n'ai pas mandriva donc je ne peux pas plus t'avancer.
 Pour la doc tu vas sur le site de mandriva et tu l'as télécharge.

 Je te suggère d'installer les drivers propriétaires nvidia.  regarde par exemple http://www.linux-pour-lesnuls. [...] tallation3

 Tu as des paquets tout fait pour cela il te faut activer les sources du plf

Il n'y a rien d'anormal avec top

 J'ai utilisé mandribouze avec bien moins de mémoire et un cpu inférieur et je n'ai jamais eu de pbm de lenteur.

 Tu veux que ca vienne de quoi?
 edit: demain je te dirai de quoi ca vient :whistle:  car je dois faire des efforts pour être tolérant et accepter les distributions m**diques.

à priori tu dois avoir l'accélération.


 Peut être as tu un problème Les log se trouvent dans le fichier  /var/log/Xorg.0.log
 Regarde si tu n'as pas un problème

 essaye d'intaller les drivers propriétaires nvidia.
